General health & OPD
Comprehensive assessment for pets of all ages — weight, physical exam, temperature, heart rate, and any presenting concerns — with the vet communicating directly with our store team for continuity between history and product recommendations.
Vaccination
Core and non-core vaccinations for dogs and cats, on schedule. We can set up WhatsApp reminders for upcoming due dates.
Skin & coat assessments
Bangalore's most common pet health issue — and our area of deepest expertise. Cytology (tape/scraping) can diagnose atopic dermatitis, Malassezia, bacterial pyoderma, Flea Allergy Dermatitis, seborrhoea, and Demodex/Sarcoptic mange. The diagnosis informs the exact therapeutic grooming protocol and treatment plan.
Nutrition & prescription diets

Is the HempyTails vet qualified and registered?
Yes. Our veterinary partner is a qualified, registered practitioner with the Veterinary Council of India (VCI). Credentials are available at the store on request.
Do I need to book in advance?
We strongly recommend advance booking, especially for skin consultations and nutritional assessments which take more time. Walk-ins are possible if slots are available — WhatsApp us to check same-day availability.
Can the vet prescribe medications?
Yes. Our vet partner can prescribe medications appropriate to their diagnosis, including topical treatments, antiparasitics, and prescription diets. Some medications (e.g. Apoquel/oclacitinib) require ongoing monitoring and follow-up consultations.
Do you offer emergency veterinary care?
Our consultations are OPD only — we are not equipped for surgical emergencies, critical care, or hospitalisation. For emergencies we can provide immediate triage assessment and guide you to an appropriate 24×7 facility.
Can I get a second opinion on an existing diagnosis?
Yes. Please bring any previous diagnostic reports, prescription records, and a brief history of your pet's condition. Our vet partner will review the findings and provide their assessment.
