Dog Health & Hygiene
Dog health & hygiene essentials
Staying on top of your dog’s hygiene prevents many of the skin, ear and dental problems that are so common in Bangalore. Our Dog Health & Hygiene range brings together dental care, ear and eye cleaners, paw and coat wipes, deodorisers, and everyday first-aid basics — the routine items that keep your dog comfortable and let you catch issues early.
What you’ll find here
Dental care — toothbrushes, dog toothpaste and dental aids to prevent painful, common dental disease.
Ear & eye care — gentle cleaners; floppy-eared dogs in our humidity are especially prone to ear infections.
Paw & coat wipes — quick clean-ups after walks and between baths, supporting the skin barrier (see our skin & coat guide).
Deodorisers & first-aid — pet-safe basics for a fresh dog and a fresh home.
Build these checks into a simple weekly routine and most niggles never become vet visits. When something does need attention — a stubborn ear, a sore tooth — our vet at Old Airport Road can help, with the in-store pharmacy close by.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my dog keep getting ear infections?
Recurrent ear infections are very common in Bangalore’s humidity, especially in floppy-eared breeds — and they’re often a sign of underlying allergy. Weekly ear checks and gentle cleaning help, but persistent or repeated infections should be assessed by a vet to treat the root cause.
How do I brush my dog’s teeth?
Use a dog toothbrush and dog toothpaste (never human toothpaste, which is toxic to dogs). Introduce it gradually, letting your dog taste the paste first, then build up to gentle brushing. Aim for most days; dental treats and vet checks support, but don’t replace, brushing.
Are pet wipes a substitute for bathing?
Wipes are great for quick clean-ups — muddy paws, a dirty coat, skin folds — and help you bathe less often, which is better for the skin barrier in hard water. They complement, rather than replace, an occasional proper bath.
